You can hire me for a one-off project or a series of projects. For new clients, it’s best to start with one or two stand-alone projects to see how we work together.
Established clients may work out a retainer arrangement. This can be beneficial if you have a lot of small projects or have a variety of projects throughout the year. Instead of writing separate contracts for each project, we will write one contract spelling out the types of work covered and the number of hours each month. This way, you know that I will be available when you need me and don’t risk losing a project because I am already scheduled for other work.
Projects may be billed on an hourly rate or a project rate, which is determined by the nature and scope of the project.
For nonprofits in Pennsylvania, I must file a copy of our contract with the Pennsylvania Bureau of Corporations and Charitable Organizations at least two weeks in advance of the project start date. Requirements for nonprofits in other states vary.
